4 December 2025 – Brussels, Belgium | 15:00–16:30 CET
Europe is facing increasing water-related challenges, including droughts, floods and pollution, intensified by climate change. In response, the European Union is accelerating its strategic efforts through the recently launched EU Water Resilience Strategy, which highlights the need for investment, innovation and fair economic tools to safeguard water resources.
Against this backdrop, the 4thEuropean Forum on the Regulation of Water Services 2025 (EFRWS25) will gather key institutional representatives, policymakers, regulators and scientific experts to discuss how Europe can strengthen its long-term water security.
During a dedicated session, the Horizon Europe projects InnWater, GOVAQUA and RETOUCH NEXUS will explore how Europe can strengthen the economic dimensions of water management by sharing key insights, actionable solutions and recommendations from the three projects.
The programme will feature a presentation of a dedicated policy brief, followed by a moderated panel discussion and concluding reflections on future directions for water resilience in Europe.
We warmly invite stakeholders, water utilities, regulators, institutional actors, NGOs, industry representatives, researchers and interested citizens to join the dialogue and contribute to shaping a more resilient and equitable water future.
